ITINERARY

Day 1

We will meet at Berwick for 9:30am.

We will say our introductions and share some expectations for the trip ahead. We are now a team!

With the help of our experienced guides, we will pack our equipment for the 2 days into one large dry bag each (We will provide these).

You will leave your cars here (This is the take out for the trip), and take our minibus to Kelso, the start our journey.

The canoes will already be at the water waiting for us with one of our guides. We will have the group equipment (Food, Cooking stoves etc), in plastic barrels and will share the equipment between the group.

We will load the canoes up, and set off on our first day of expedition.

Our first night is at a campsite… Luxury! We will set up our tents and enjoy camping after a successful first day. We will get the kettle on and our guides will cook up a nutritious meal for you.

Day 2

Our guides will have breakfast ready for you, and the kettle will be on!

We will have breakfast, before packing up camp and loading our canoes for day 2 of our journey.

Once on the water, we will paddle downstream, enjoying more fantastic views and taking on a few small rapids.

We will set up camp in a woodland area on the river bank, a beautiful place to stay the night!

Day 3

For the final time we will pack up camp, enjoy our last breakfast together and embark on our final day. Paddling the last leg of the river Tweed down into the mouth, and into the historic town of Berwick.

After a fantastic last day we will say goodbye to our new friends and reflect on an amazing 3 days of canoeing, learning, site seeing and camping.

I’m sure we will all meet up again on the next adventure.
